“When we’re happy and all in love with ourselves, we can’t be bothered with the bullshit (our own or other people’s)” – Jen Sincero

There is a reason ‘Self’ is at the top of the page and the top of my list when it comes to priorities. We only get one life, one body, one mind. But we get hundreds of chances each year to learn and grow! If you’re not growing, you’re wasting your life! Period. And if you’re constantly lifting others at the expense of yourself and pouring everything you can into just making it through the week, you’re doing it wrong.

You can’t pour from an empty cup. You put the oxygen mask on yourself first for a reason.

To live your best life you have to put yourself first. You have to love yourself more than you love anyone else. One more time: You have to love yourself MORE than you love Any. One. Else. More than your kids, partner, friends, family, job, or bad habits.

NO ONE is doing it perfectly. No one. We all have our periods of struggle. We all get in ruts, do things we know are bad for us, and tend to lose stretches of time because we get lazy or complacent. But ain’t nobody got time for that!

It’s time for us to be intentional with ourselves. To learn (and practice) making ourselves a priority so we can live our best lives and grow into the awesome humans we were put on this earth to be. People will doubt us, look at us like we’re crazy, get uncomfortable that we’re clawing our way out of the boxes we’ve put ourselves in… it will be hard. But I promise it will be SO worth it.

It’s time to start being intentional with our health!

We must treat our bodies with care and make an effort to be more active.

An Apple a Day

If you know me, you know that I am 100% an exercise junky. I love to run every morning and I could spend hours in the gym. You also know that I’m a damn fool and am totally lying.

If you’re like me, you grew up being told you could be whatever you wanted to be.

You're told to be yourself, embrace your differences, and to not let others put you down.
