It’s official: 2019 is half-way over. If you’re like me, you might be thinking of all of those New Year’s Resolutions, goals, and/or dreams you set for the year that you haven’t quite been on track with. Oops…
Now is NOT the time to shrug your shoulders and say “Meh. I’ll start again next year.” Now IS the time to start making minor changes and baby steps towards a better, happier you. It’s about being intentional with how we take care of ourselves, navigate our relationships, and impact our community TODAY instead of sometime in the imaginary future.
We’ll be spending the next three months with a deep dive into setting ourselves up to be seeing 20:20 by 2020. When the clock strikes midnight on December 31st, we’ll celebrate all we’ve accomplished and will be kicking off the New Year a better person than we are today.
It’s not going to be easy. It’s going to suck - a lot.
To make meaningful, long-term change, we’re going to have to take a critical look where we’re at now and what’s in the way of us getting where we want to go. We’ll see what changes we can make TODAY to help us take steps towards those end goals.
Maybe it’s drinking 20% more water each day to help your health.
Or starting to exercise for 20 minutes a day.
Or identifying 20 people we miss and making a point to reach out.
Or donating $20 to a non-profit.
Or cutting our screen time back by 20%.
